Don Iovino - A fixture in innovative bass fishing techniques for more than 20 years, Don Iovino and his deep-water bass fishing methods, has become one of the most identifiable elements of finesse fishing throughout the country. Don Iovino, the “Doodle King”, developed this method of specific structure, deep water angling in 1974. Called “doodling”, the style involves shaking the worm in a vertical fashion on a specific piece of structure while using his electronics to pinpoint Mr. Largemouth. The world-renowned bass fisherman is recognized as one of the pioneers in our industry. He continues to fish selected tournaments across the country and does a host of seminars on various techniques of “finesse fishing” which includes the “Drop-Shot” or “Down Shot” method.
